2020 • Book | A look at the 25-year history of Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte.
Sistema . infinitamente . imaterial is a book published to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte. Writings and pictures — a kind of testament — from the company's collaborators, such as choreographers, screenwriters, photographers, and other actors in the Portuguese cultural field, have been compiled into the work.
Ballet Contemporâneo do Norte has evolved over the years into an experimental space that refuses to settle and is committed to progressiveness, collaboration, and partnership. The book critically reviews the company's heritage and envisions the future of experimental dance, new beginnings, and the way for the next 25 years. The book sheds light on the often invisible creative processes and the company's relationship with the community of its hometown, Santa Maria da Feira.

I designed the 189-page sistema . infinitamente. imaterial book, and I did the illustrations for Joclécio Azevedo's text Uma Contagem Regressiva.
The book was first published in a small format at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic on 25.11.2020 at Cineteatro António Lamoso and then on 29.9.2021 at the Porto City Theater in Rivoli.
